Fort Friday!

It rained ALL night last night and may rain all day today....so its

Fort Friday

Disney plays a movie after lunch time we get all the sleeping bags and big blankets in the house out, make a a fort and settle in for nap time. After nap we spend the afternoon playing treasure hunt, space ship, and castle!!!

It is a rare treat to have a rainy day AND Disney movie day on the same day


....and my DCB who always takes 'special' days too far isn't here today...

That sounds like such a nice fun and relaxing day! How many kids do you have? I love the idea but mine are all very small. My toddlers would like to make the fort and the 2+ would like the movie, but my 1.5yo would tear down the fort :: he's a boy. The girls find him annoying like that at times I love kids!

All are with in three months of their birthdays!! I have mostly 'big kids'...what I wouldn't give for a bunch of littles!!

Sounds kind of like what we did today...we cranked up the music and built a giant fort this morning. I only had five kids while the others were at preschool and before I knew it, they were all dressed in super hero costumes and our fort had become "The Bat Cave"! We went on so many awesome rescue missions...I love rainy days when the kids are creative!

I try to switch things up on Fridays. Last week we went on a field trip/picnic and today I'm letting the bigger kids have some screen time. Dd just downloaded a couple of new games on the Wii.

It's like giving them cake. I don't do it often, but I am a rock star when I do! Uh-oh. Now I want cake.
