I have added this to my contract (for now).
Once a scheduled day or days are canceled by a family, there will not be any guarantees that the daycare will have the space or be available to care for their child on the previously canceled day/days.
My pet peeve is when parents know in advance that they will not be bringing their child on a particular day. Then I find out about it the night before and sometimes in the morning. Does anyone think that adding the above line to my contract will make parents not want to tell me because they want care to be available just in case? Or maybe they might not tell me about a possible break or end in care because of it?
