    It's Baby Eagle Time!

Just thought I would let everyone know...the Decorah Eagles once again have 3 eggs this year, and one of the babies will be born any minute! There is a very large Pip (hole) in the egg; so the little guy should make his appearance very soon!

For those who are new or haven't heard of the Decorah Eagles; it's a live webcam set on a Bald Eagle nest and you can watch them live. This time every year, the babies start to hatch, and you get to watch them being cared for by their devoted parents, grow, and eventually fledge the nest. My group last year LOVED watching these little guys! It's a wonderful experience!

So cool! We saw an eagle fly over our play yard a couple.weeks ago. The white head, the yellow feet....he had some kind of meal in his beak. Cool link! Thanks!

We watched it earlier, but now it just keeps refreshing over and over and we can't watch it. Will try in the morning.

I love watching the eagles but DH and I always watch the Hornby Island ones: http://www.hornbyisland.net/eagles.html but they are doing some updating and installation of some new cameras so they are currently not broadcasting as of yet. They plan to be sometime later this month and are directing people to the Decorah Eagles site. But fo rthose of you interested, check the Hornby site again soon as it is a really cool site too!

Here are a couple links to other live animal cams, The first one is from the Bear Center in Ely, MN (their bears, Lily and the late Hope have been pretty famous in the last few years).

Here is the International Wolf Center also from Ely, MN:

My own kids (as well as DCK's) love watching the wolf and bear cams as most have had the chance to visit the actual centers and see the animals we are watching.
