Stomach Virus, oh Boy!

It is 3:30 AM and in the last ten minutes three, count 'em, THREE members of my family have thrown up. One of them twice.

One is miserable (DH), one is subdued (DS), and one is perkier than anyone has the right to be ten minutes after throwing up twice at 3:30 AM!!!! (DD) ::

Seriously though...I called the dcm whose son comes on Saturday and told her I can't watch dcb today. Broke my 26 month streak of perfection, damn it.

I cleaned everything and everyone up...now it's storming and I'm ignoring the slight unsettled feeling my own intestines have. I'm NOT sick, nope, I'm not...even if it takes every ounce of willpower I have I will not, can not, be sick.

Oh yeah, and no matter what, my back went out so bad on Thursday that I could barely move. I'm better but wasn't quite ready to be cleaning up puke off the floor and everything else that comes with nursing three sick children (one of them older than me :P)

And here we go , DS threw up again. Poor sick baby, I have never seen him this quiet and subdued. This is the first time he's been sick except for a few colds.

With everyone getting sick at the same time, could it be food poisoning?

Sharlan, the thought crossed my mind but I seriously, seriously doubt it. Of the three that are sick, not one of them ate the same foods yesterday. DH was at work all day; he did eat a tuna sandwich but he's the only one that had tuna. DD ate a lot more than I did for dinner (chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans) but DH and DS didn't eat any of it; my mom and I both did but we aren't sick. DS ate baby food and of course no one else ate that!

Just found out that dcb threw up at 4:30 this AM. I'm considering the call-off to be mutual, .

This happened to my family two weeks ago! I was the one that came down with it first, DH 12 hrs later, DS 6 hrs later, DD 12 hrs after that. It was AWEFUL. For almost 12 straight hours, each of us were vomitting like crazy, and sometimes it was coming out both ends! TMI, I know! Fortunately I closed the daycare and none of my daycare kids came down with it. But our stomachs were sensitive for about a week after, too. Oh man, it was aweful.

It is so hard to have to deal with all that at one time but hey, atleast everyone is sick at the same time and this illness isn't drug out for weeks on end....kwim?

Thanks everyone. I'm still fine and have been all along (weird). Everyone else is better now, except for Ds who is running a bit of a fever. I'll be open tomorrow as usual though. I'm going to be very curious to learn if the other dcks were sick yesterday too.

I am so glad that you have been spared the sickness! Praying that you stay healthy! I hope your son is all better soon!
