    Flat Heads

I wanted to know what you are all doing to prevent flat heads on infants. If we aren't supposed to use anything in the pnp, then what are you doing to avoid the inevitable flat head syndrome?

I noticed my little dcg is already beginning to show signs of flat head.

    Tummy time!!

I started noticing 2 month old DCB's head was getting flat in the back, and asked the mom how he likes tummy time at home. She said they never do it, which I figured because he HATED it here. I've been having him do lots of it here. She always makes comments about how he "loves his swing" at home, which can be part of the problem.

Thats about all you can do, is put them on there tummies a little each day, make sure they dont spen d to much time in a bouncy. I think it just doesnt occur to a parent to do tummy time with there baby or there baby hates it and they stop aften one time. Usually they outgrow the flat heads as they get bigger. Quite the quandry hah?!

Yeah, that's what I thought...just tummy time. Actually, we can't use anything other than a swing here. I don't even have a swing. She's just a great sleeper really, loves to nap. Not complaining, babies need their rest!

Agree. Tummy time, and changing them from laying on their left/right side while supervised.
