Why Can't Parents Clothe Their Kids?

I just dont understand parents sometimes.

This morning its 55 degrees outside. I walk my group to the bus stop every morning. I have a 2 year old here with short sleeves, capri pants and no jacket.


How hard is it to grab a coat and put it on your child?

It has to be a lack of common sense. I have the same problem here in CO. 36 degrees and 7mo shows up in short sleeve onsie and no socks. No jacket no BLANKET and they wonder why she's crying?! HEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOO! Lol dummies

Yep, same thing here in wisconsin. I had two siblings show up, 2 year old in shorts and t-shirt with flip flops at 545am with no jacket or sweater and 6mo in tshirt and shorts w/o socks, jacket, or blanket around her. I made sure at pick-up to tell them to be sure to bring a jacket for both girls and socks for the baby because it is still too chilly outside to not have them. Seriously, what happened to common sense?! These are also people that dress their very petite two year old in 4t clothes and their 6 month old in 18m clothes...which DO NOT fit at all. OR its the opposite end of the spectrum and they are putting the 2yo in clothes that are too small..today she has on size 12-18m shorts which may as well be booty shorts they are so small. I guess I will be changing that one!

I notice that the parents are almost always dressed appropriately so they do have common sense....for themselves. Dont even get me started on kids being squeezed into clothing that is so tight, it leaves marks and even bruises on their bodies. I have all middle to upper-middle class parents....they can afford more clothes, trust me.

so its been really hot here lately, I have kids coming in jeans and long sleeve tshirts and onsies with shirts on top. They are all dressed in winter clothes. We go for a walk everyday and play outside for over an hour, the kids are so hot and sweaty its awful. Everyday I tell the parents what the weather is going to be for the following day, they still don't come dressed right.

I agree. We have snow here and some of my little girls show up in sun dresses with a fleece jacket. No gloves, boots, etc. Ugh.

This is what Im seeing. it is no colder than 60 degrees here at dawn...my kids are still wearing coats, hats, etc. its 77-85 daily, I had two yesterday to wear long sleeved thermal shirts and thick sweatpants... I guess no one is used to breaking out the summer wear this early, but the poor kids are a sweaty mess by 12 pm.

so again we went outside, the boy in the pants could barely participate. We went for a walk, and all he did was complain. then we went to the park and he complained he was tired. Well not my problem, because the other 3 kids came dressed to play. Oh when I asked dcd about it, he said he couldn't find any shorts this morning. I don't understand why he just didn't put on yesterdays shorts so he wouldn't be hot (like my dd who picked them up off the floor because I told her that she can find something else to wear because the tag was bothering her, and off to school she went)

Totally this! Kids just aren't the priority and no one wants to fight with their kids.
