To Assume or not to Assume.....

DCM is on Spring Break right now and wanted to bring DCG and her preK brother drop in this week. When she told me that she was on SB I told her that I was going to schedule an appt for myself and my DS to go to the dr on one of the days since she didn't need care all week. DS has been sick and I wanted him checked out and I needed an appt with my PCM on the base since I hadn't been in a while. She said that was fine and to let her know when so she could plan the days they would be coming accordingly. Appts were on Monday, she said that she knew for sure they wouldn't be coming on Wednesday but wasn't sure about the other days.

On Monday I let her know that the doctor suspected RSV and wanted me to go to the lab at my earliest convience to swab DS to check. She said until I knew for sure, she didn't want the kids here. So, they didn't come Tuesday. I let her know before that I needed a 24 hour notice for the days she wanted them here so I could plan meals and what not. I let her know today at 1:00 that the RSV test came back negative and its a bad virus and should clear up soon (says the ped). It is now almost 6:00 and I have not heard from her at all.

Should I assume she isn't bringing them tomorrow? If so, what if she contacts me later tonight and says they are? Also, 24 hour notice for Friday would be no later than 5:30am tomorrow morning- if I don't hear anything by then about Friday should I assume they aren't coming Friday either? What if she tells me tomorrow afternoon that she wants to bring them?

Thanks ladies. She will be back on Monday. More time for my DS to get better and more time for me to try and catch up on sleep I have missed from being up all night with him.
