    Toilet Training UGH!!!!

I have a girl that will be 3 next month. Finally, she has shown interest in potty training and has done well for the last couple of weeks. The mother is now asking when she can stop wearing the pull up and start underwear at day care.

I have always had a strict policy, pull up or diaper until, they are not having accidents. I have been taking her every 2 hours. I firgure I will back off next week and just have her go when she needs to go.

I am so worried they will start sending in underwear. The mother doesn't understand how the kids may go at home, but here, they get busy and sometimes don't stop playing to go!

It is still so new for her and although I feel she is going great, I am worried. I can't have the messes all over my house!

Anyone else have advice on this one or how do you do it to transistion from pull up to underwear??Thanks

I dont do underwear on the daycare kids until they have had two accident free weeks, including naps. I don't take chances. Mom can try out pull up free time at home but its not going to happen here until I know the kid is trained. If they didnt bring pull ups, I would remind once and then purchase myself and charge the parents for them.

I have a paragraph in my contract on potty training. I will not start with it here at daycare, til the child fully understands it, and is able to tell me they need to go potty. Pullups or diapers are required til totally potty trained(this means goes on their own, without reminders and assistance from myself and are accident free for quite some time.
