    You've got to be kidding.

So the other day a dcp comes in to pick up dcb and informs me that she had to hold him up side down the day before and stick her finger down dcb throat because dcb got into dcg's meds. She says it wasn't anything to bad for him, "JUST" dcg blood pressure meds. Why are her meds out where dcb can get them? Then the next day dcd brings dcb and says he didn't sleep very well last night. He didn't think he was feeling very well. Geez, you think it might have has something to do with having to have mom's finger down his throat? WOW some parents.

Do you think maybe they should have brought him to the ER or at least the Dr. to check him?

I've never heard of a child on BP meds. The child may be out of whack from the meds - thus the trouble sleeping. Ugh!

Hopefully it was a lesson learned and they will keep the meds out of reach from now on. Things happen - children climb - accidents happen.

Yes I believe they should have had him checked out. These are the same parents that called me and wanted to know what to do for dcb because he was playing with the outlets and got shocked and he was shaking all over. HELLO take him the the ER don't call me.

The people that answer the Poison Control # have always been very, very nice. Non judgemental...they have heard it all & worse. This is the perfect scenario for that parent to call them.

Have they had him evaluated? I wouldn't take him into care until he was checked by a doctor.

Um, yeah...both of those situations would be a visit to the ER immediately (and poison control call on the way there for the pills). What is it with some parents and common sense about when medical care is needed?
