More sickness this year?

Is anyone noticing that everyone seems to be more sick this year? I have only had one week where all my dcks were sick at the same time and missing childcare (they all had the flu) but since Sept. everyone seems to have a cough, runny nose, cold, something going on.

My own family seems to pick up everything from the dcks also! I have never missed this much work in my life till this year. I gave myself 5 personal/sick days and have already been sick 7 days!!!! Its very irratating also. My own hubby has missed 6 days of work this year and he has never missed that much work in years.

I just wish nice weather would get here so we could keep the windows open without freezing out. We've had 3 inches of rain in 2 days this last week. Snow flurries yesterday, possibly today and then major downpours tomorrow which they are figuring will trigger some flooding.

Three parents have told me they have lots of people out at their work places out sick. Most are out 3-5 days! Everyone must be running out of sick time this year.

My DS is sick again for the second time in 2 weeks. DCG is still sick and hasnt gotten any better. DH and I are getting over what the kids have.

YES i swear its all the time. Rsv went around my area, respiratory flu and now stomach flu. I am hoping for it to be over soon and for us to get an awesome immune system at least!

I personally think it is the weird weather everyone is having. Didn't really get cold enough to kill all the bad bugs going around but instead just the right temp to keep them all happy and thriving!

I am RARELY sick and when I do get sick, it is usually just a mild head cold lasting a day or two. This year I got a bad head cold that lasted almost 2 weeks.....so I know it has to be weather related somehow.

I definately find that my DCK's are sick but my DD and myself are rarely sick. I have pretty strict sickness policies too but my youngest DCG has had an ongoing cold since December. Both DCK's have been on antibiotics for infections as well. Luckily we haven't gotten any of it *knock on wood*

My own kids actually haven't been sick all school year so far. I keep waiting because they usually get a cold or two and sometimes the stomach flu.

The daycare kids have all had a few colds but that was it. They are all sneezing today but I'm thinking it may be allergies only because mine are terrible today.
