    Late Parents.....

I have made a habit out of getting up 1 1/2 earlier than my first daycare child is to show up. Shower, have coffe, just get ready for the day.
Well yesterday 1/2 hour before first child was to be here, 1 1/2 hours before second was to arrive, the mom text me to say she wouldn't be here until after school. UUGH! I could have slept in alittle longer.
Today she is already over 1/3 hour late. No call, No text, NOTHING.
Last week I only had 1 child scheduled. Due to all the illnesses going around. I had the 1 child was due at 7:30. No call. Showed up at 9:30.

    WTS!!!!!!!!

You are going to have to beef up your contract, write a note in a newsletter, etc...

      Awe that stinks!

I guess I'd rather they be late dropping off than late picking up, KWIM?

BUT! I hate when dcp don't consider US and the fact they we are waiting for them so we can start our routine! Every time a dck shows up late, even 20 mins seems to make a difference, it throws us off.

If its consistently a problem I would say something. If you choose not to say something then you have to let it go or it will just bug you and that stress isn't worth it!

You really need to say something about this somehow.

That happens to me everyday. Parents are supposed to be here at 7:30 and they come between 8-8:30, coming at 7:30 only once in awhile (only enough to keep me on my toes). Its so annoying.

This would only happen twice with me,after that they get a new schedule. Unless other kids are here then I don't care if they are a little late. I will not open any earlier than I have to.

attach fees to any times outside of scheduled drop offs and pick ups. that should solve the problem real fast.

I am i the process of writing a letter to parents as wee speak. The parent that was late today walks in and says "Oh ya, dcg will be here tomorrow all day as well. No school". Didn't ask if I had room or anything. Out the door she went before I could respond. Like I work for her. Ha she should realize I don't work for anyone but myself. Duh that's why they call it self employed.

Have them sign a new contract, with new drop off times in it. So you know, when they are exactly coming.
