When should I ask DCF's plans

..for summer and the new school year?

One family may or may not have me watch dcb over the summer as he has 2 older sisters who can stay home with him.
Another DCM has a boy who is starting school in the fall. We have a great afterschool program here (free), so I don't know if mom is going to put him and his brother in it next year. She is state paid, so it doesn't make a difference financially to her. Time would be an issue for her though, as she would have to pick up the boys by 6:00pm there and she doesn't get out of work until 6:45pm 3x a week. She is having issues with her boss regarding scheduling right now, so it may change. Plus she has family here that could help with the pick ups.

I tend to over think and over plan things out, but it's going to effect a decision (financially and time-wise) I have to make regarding my children's homeschooling next year. I know the parents barely think beyond the next week, so I doubt that they know what their plans are at this point. I love them all, they just operate differently than I do.

I just asked two family's last week what their plans are for summer and next school yr. I have some moms that are pregnant so indeed to know what to do. I didn't think anything of it I do this every year it's not that far out.

I am in the process of writing a letter to all of my families regarding their plans for next year. I am asking for an answer by the week of April vacation.

I personally do not think it is too early. I am also a planner - I like to know what is heading my way for a variety of reasons.
