    Common Sense? Not So Much

I live in Colorado. It's 25 degrees outside right now. My house is warm but not toasty. I have cold hands and feet most of the day. I keep my kids in warm fleece outfits with socks and slippers for running around all day.

I have a dcf that sent dcg in with a tshirt and jeans and no socks or shoes. Her arms are freezing and feet are ice cubes. When I mention, "hey, dcf, you know dcg gets a little chilly sitting around in the winter with summer clothes! Could explain her runny nose, too?!" they said to me, "oh we don't mind if she's cold. We keep our house at a crisp 58 and let her roll around in just a diaper, shes used to it." So i say... "Uuuuuum..... Okay well..... I'm changing her."

Really?! what is wrong with people??

Happy it's Friday!!! Just needed to vent for a sec

She's cold to the touch and I know she won't nap good if shes icy!! I also hate having to share my kids clothes. I avoid it because it's theirs KWIM? Why can't parents just know this stuff on their own?? ::

I have familes like this too, its cold today, I think its maybe 14 degrees outside. but no one comes dressed for the weather, but in the summer everyone wears winter clothes, I just don't understand. Now my dd is a sweaty stinky girl (she's 7) but I make her wear layers and tell her if she's hot she can start taking her layers off.

I have a 7yo girl of my own too! Same thing! I send her dressed for the cold and when she comes home she's all sweaty and stinky cuz she "forgot" to take some layers off the sun is very warm in Denver! It could be 20 and if the suns out it feels like 50 in the afternoon anyways ::
