I have been doing daycare for 14 years and have never taken a sick day so never had them in my contract. Well this week on Tuesday I woke up so dizzy there was no way I was taking in kids feeling like that I went to the dr. and was dehyrated and was having sinus trouble so I took off WEds. to rest as well two families did pay for the whole week one asked for one day free since their child was also sick one of those days. So my question is how many use sick days and how many do you use?

I don't have paid sick days. If I get sick and close no one has to pay for that day. They can dock me 1/5 of the weekly tuition the next week. If they get sick they pay regardless of whether they come here or not. That's all in my contract though.. what does yours say about sick days? -
I do not have sick days, but I do have paid vac. days. I have never had to take a sick day yet in over 6 yrs.(knock on wood) I have it written in my contract, if I am sick or my child I will either take it as unpaid or out of my vac. days.Comment

I have 5 paid personal/sick days in my contract. I also have 3 weeks of unpaid vacation. If I get sick I use one of my personal days. If one of my families gets sick they still pay.Comment

I only get holiday pay, if I take any other days off they are unpaid.Comment
