Our Ears Are Going To Fall Off

OMG I dont know how we have all made it this past week. (me and the kids)

We have a dck that has been here a few months and all of a sudden he has started this constant whine. All week he has whined about everything. When he talks it comes out as whining. ALl of the kids are putting their hand over their ears and saying stop stop, please make it stop.

I am at a loss here. I dont know what is causing it and how to stop it. It's even just whining sounds. LIke at breakfast this morning we had wheat waffles, fruit and milk. He didn't want that so he made this constant hmm/whine sound all through breakfast. All of the kids are upset by it and I am about to jump off a bridge. Really I would rather hear nails on a chalk board.

Anyone have any advice. BTW I have tried ignoring it, moving all the other kids away from it and have tried to remove the whiner, but nothing is working

I have one like this!!! Its either a whine, scream, talking over the top loud, or schreeching. I was on a phone call yesterday with someone from CCR&R and we finally had to end the telephone call because of the high pitched screeching from the child. They weren't allowed to play with the scensory bin and I swear all my windows could have broke from it. The lady couldn't believe the child kept doing it after being asked not to. She said she felt very sorry for me.

Some of my kids have actually started putting their hands over their ears and saying its sooooo loud. I really don't know what to do, has been really, really bad the last two months and seems to be getting worse.

Ugh I think we have the same kid... This child is only 20 months and I really just cant take it today. If it does not stop here in the next hour, he's going home. It almost sounds like a small whistle going off under his breath that is constant.

It really is the worst sound I have ever heard....It sound like a male cat in heat...

I think I would rather hear the screaming than this..............

I have a 5 year old DCB and my own lovely 7 year old daughter who are prone to bouts of whininess. In response, I use my most annoying whiny voice when talking. It stops them in their tracks and makes them laugh! May not be the most mature way to go about it, but it works for us!

I am a general about mealtimes. You whine, you leave. You cry, you leave. Come back when you're done. You throw food, you leave for good.

When someone here starts, I tell them. "You can stop, or you can leave the table. The rest of us are trying to enjoy or breakfast". I eat with the kids 99% of the time, and it's SUPPOSED to be a pleasant experience.

If they don't stop, I pick them up, take them to the crying spot (a huge pillow in the playroom), set them down, and walk away. They usually come back a few minutes later with a much better attitude.

This. Same with me. I have a low-grade whiner...constant "ehhhh" under his breath. He does it, he leaves the table.
