I have paneled walls throughout my home. At first it looked nice but lately getting fed up with the same old dreary brown especially in the daycare section. What can I do other than painting it? Painting is permanent and I don't think I am ready for that step, yet anyway. I want to at least make the daycare walls more cheery. I have things hanging but it's still brown around. Any ideas?

The house I bought for my daycare was done completely in paneling. TO make matters even worse was the paneling was a multitude of different colors, some light wood and other dark wood. (*insert vomit emiticon here*).
We found wallpaper that was meant to be put over paneling (so the lines of the panels don't show through) and it was easy to put up too. It was also the kind that you were suppose to paint so we put it up in most the house and painted whatever colors we wanted.
So, I don't know if you want to go that far but if you do, that is an easy option. Otherwise, I saw this at a friends house and thought it was a really cool idea to display art work. Plus it covers as much or as little of the wall as you want so this might be an option too:Last edited by Blackcat31; 10-12-2014, 08:01 AM.- Flag

Hang curtain panels? Cheap, from IKEA? They have very cool curtain wires that work nicely. Personally I would paint. Fast to do, cheap, fresh, easily changed if you don't like the color. Painted white to look like bead board would look cottage like?I see little people.- Flag

Paper Illusion....google it.
We put it on the dark panelled walls in the basement of our home. Love it! Kid friendly (infact it's so easy to put up, the kids can help...no kidding!) Lots of colors and patterns to choose from. And if you want to change it...it's super easy to remove. People have actually used it to re-finish counter tops and floors!!!!!! It's amazingly versatile stuff.- Flag
