Trying To Not Be Upset Over Losing A Star

I will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into Parent Aware (the rating system in my state). It is voluntary for now, but eventually will be mandatory, I'm sure.
100% of my openings are filled by client referrals, so as long as I remain '4 star' with my clients I'm not going to worry about it.
I'm sorry this happened, it's so frustrating! I could only suggest that you dispute the evaluation with a supervisor of the program.- Flag

My state started out voluntary too. It will be fully implemented soon. Everyone starts out with one star. So if you don't participate it looks like you only earned one star. What a crock.- Flag

How about hiring more licensers with the $10million dollars over 2 years and actually DO SOMETHING about the illegal providers who have 18 kids by themselves?- Flag

Omg
I have done the star rating 3 times now and have earned 5 stars but it is a night mare. I barely made it by .02 pts last time. Due to have it again in Aug/ Sept. It gets harder each time. They don't even want us to serve warm foods. (No microwaves to heat meals.) Some of the junk is absolutly rediculous.
Last time thay came out there were 2 ladies standing around all morning. I had 3 toddlers that hated them being here and cried most of the am. They stood over them staring while I was trying to get them down for nap. The kids were screaming. I finally said to the ladies that them being there was upsetting my kids and they would have to leave or they could wait in my living room. They did but my kids were so outta sorts that one still wouldn't nap. They had a whole panel of questions they wanted to ask while the kids napped. I said well I have to clean up from lunch and give my attention to the kids now so you will have to come back after daycare or call me with the question. They called back. Can u belive I did that? I shocked myself. LOLNot Clueless anymore- Flag
