For Those Of You Who Have To Drop Off Kids

    HOw do you do it?

I will have to drop off my own son at school starting in the fall. I will have a car load of kids with me that will be present. My son will be starting head start, so how do you guys do it? How do you walk your kid in? Do you really unload and load all of the kids each and every time??

Or do you get any assistance from the school???

Most schools really don't have the staff to walk every child to the door. Our local schools have a teacher that helps the child get out of the car so Mom can move on faster, but they don't take the child to the classroom.

For K's I always unloaded everyone and walked them to the door. Starting in 1st, I let them walk to class on their own.

We have a hug n go lane where a teacher helps the kids out of the car so we can leave faster. That helps when there's dcks in the car. As for walking them in... I've never had to do that. My DD loves school and just runs inside. You can't leave anybody in the car so I would guess unloading and loading everyone each time. Phew that would **** I've had dcf offer to give DD a ride since its right down from our house and it's on their way but I've never accepted. Maybe that's an option?

When my DD went to preschool, I had to unload everyone to walk her to class. There is no way the school has enough staff to make sure everyone gets to right room. Some days I had 5 kids with me, all ages 2 and under except DD.
