kids sleep in the playroom - I would go BIZERK if I had to sit in there with them - my kids nap a min. of 2 hours!!

I stay on that level of the house - my house isn't all that big so I can always either see or hear them. Nap time is my computer time, lunch time, bill paying time, laundry time, etc. etc.

I have an open floor plan so I can see and hear all of the kids from almost all areas of my house..Minus the bedrooms, but those are all off limits.

When I have a new kid that does not understand the nap routine process, sometimes I do have to sit in the room until they fall asleep. It usually last about a week and then they are all good to go.

My kids nap in the playroom which is just off the kitchen. My computer is in the kitchen just outside the playroom. During nap time, I sit at the computer where I can see all of the kids and they can see me. Once they fall asleep, I clean up the kitchen and get ready for snack once they wake up. The only time I sit right in the playroom with them is when I have an infant who needs to be rocked/fed a bottle or I have a child who is relatively new and hasn't settled into our nap routine yet.
