    PT Meeting

I am having a PT meeting tonight for one of my families that we both feel that DCG is ready and willing to PT.

Does anyone else do this and if so, what information do you go over?

I do have a list of things that I go over and talk about, just wondering if anyone else does this and would be willing to share their information....

Nope. I hand out my policy and when *I* see signs of readiness and signs that PT is well established at home, then I begin assisting. PT is a parents job, not mine. I just assist.

If they are grown up enough to make babies, they are grown up enough to raise them. Seriously, they have no.idea how to.PT? Do they use the toilet? Its not rocket science.

I know what you mean. Its just that this I like to know what the parents are doing at home. When you don't have consistency you don't have success

The library has a whole section on potty training. When they start doing it, THEN they can fill you in.

I have been doing it this way for 6 years and it works well. So far only 2 kids I have not been able to PT without having to get outside help...

I figured out QUICK that when I tell them how to do it, they say that's how they do it at home. But they aren't. I am doing ALL the work. So intead, I send them to the library, praise a few books and tell them to find a system that fits their style. Then they can read them and tell me what they are ALREADY doing at home.

But I don't care what they do at home. I do it the same here for every kid. It works for me and they learn here.
