    Not CL But Facebook

This isn't a cl ad but is a facebook ad. This is from a girl that I recently got into it with on facebook about unlicensed childcare homes. It is illegal in Texas to keep even one child without being at least listed with the state ($20 per year)..so why not? There's no monitoring and you can keep 3 kids. My question is...why wouldn't you at least get listed here if it is that easy?

Anyway, we didn't actually argue about her daycare because she isn't in business anymore...wonder why? Her babysitter is keeping about 5 and at least 2 she says are special needs..so we think she definately needs to get registered with state and have to have some trainings. And no she isn't a nurse or anything like that...about 20 years old or somewhere around that age. Anyway, here is her facebook ad...only the part from rates...
RATES ARE AS FOLLOWS- $90 per week (full week), $50 for 3 days or less, $10 per child per day FOR DROP INS, $20 over night per child, EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT, 8PM TO 8AM . Registration fee of $25 required upon start date.

Not wanting to get into an argument about licensed and unlicensed, just wanted to show how crazy these prices are....IF my kids were to go there I'd say we'd be drop ins all the time .--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Holy smokes!

Those prices are so low. I charge $750/m 9 hours/d. I'd be broke charging so little.

If the person who was taking care of my child didn't have basic math skills, I'd run FAST. ::::::

I'm in Texas. I wish I could get $90 for full time. I am a little bit higher for part time, and I don't have any openings for drop ins. It's tough in my town.

Small steps, OT, but maybe you can tell me. I'm listed so I haven't had the training class. I was talking to a friend in another state and she said that their regs won't let them take a baby under 6 weeks. I said I didn't think we had a minimum age, and I couldn't find anything on the dfps site.

          Is there a minimum age?
