About 5 years ago I had a set of DCP that were fueding over custody and interpretting their custody agreement differently. I really felt like I was in the middle, even though I did have a copy of the custody agreement. I swear each parent tried to twist every thing in the agreement to make the other mad. Finally I just got fed up, I tried CPS but they said that they dont get into legal custody issues unless the child is being abused and to just call the cops. (Although I could have made a serious argument that both of the parents behavior was cause serious damage to the little boy) So I did. A very nice police officer, supposedly had dealt with this family before, helped me. He said as a daycare provider its not my job to decifer the custody agreement. He said call the cops everytime at pick up if you are unsure. The cop will come out and interpret the agreement. Just make sure you always have a copy of the agreement. After the 3rd time the cops came out, they finally got the hint and I didnt have any more issues after that.
