    IKEA Alternative

I love the stuff from IKEA, but unfortunately the nearest one to me is 3 1/2 hours away! And in a city I would not care to try to find it in.

Most of the stuff I'm interested in isn't sold online.

Anyone have a good alternative to IKEA???

The dollar store is the next closest suggestion if you are looking for cups, forks, dishes, bowls, etc.

They change out their inventory regularly.

Depending on what else you want/need and if you want it at a lower price, Walmart is usually pretty good.

I find most of my good deals on Craigslist.

Thanks, wdmmom. I, too, frequent dollar tree and WM. Craig's list is kind of the same as IKEA. The closest town on the list is an hour away. So unless it's something really big, it's not worth the trip. Sometimes we luck out and get something a little more local.

When I was looking for some things that IKEA didn't sell online, I found them listed on E-bay. I seem to remember that the prices were pretty similar, but I haven't looked for anything for a few months.

I wanted the spice racks for book shelves and had the same problem. I called them and ordered them from a store in another state. They mailied them to me from the store. I will look and see if I still have the info saved if you like.

That would be great! What store did you go through, Pitter Patter?

I've never been to one. It'd be hard to pick and chose WHAT to buy on one trip, I"ll bet! Sounds like fun!
