Yesterday one of my dcb started to cry during his nap about 50 min into it. I went in there thinking maybe he had a bad dream or something but as I touched him he was burning up, I picked him up and took him into the other room and took his temperature it was 101.6. I immediately called his dad which was at 2:10, left a message, I recalled again at 2:45, still no call back, called again at 3:30 still no call back, tried calling mom at work she wasn't answering her phone which she wouldn't have gotten here very soon since it would have taken her at least an hour or more to get here.
Dad finally calls at 4:45, I had just retaken his temperature and my husband told him it was up to 102, he said he didn't hear the phone and he'd be here in a few minutes which was more like 15 min. He is scheduled to not be here thursday so when he was leaving I said well hope he gets better and hopefully we'll see him on friday, because law here is they need to be free from a fever for at least 24 hours. As dad was leaving he didn't even say sorry or anything BUT said, yea he was running a fever last night too but he didn't seem to have it this morning

This morning guess who shows up I said I'm sorry but he isn't able to come back into care until he is at least 24 hours free from his fever. He said oh I never knew that you never mentioned that, I said what? It's clearly stated in your contract and I mentioned it last night that Friday would be the soonest I'd see him? Are people really that stupid? He knows the rule because his son has been sick before and I've said the same thing.. He then said well I don't know if we'll go on thursday now so can I call you later and maybe bring him thursday? I said yest that would be fine providing no fever today. He said he wanted to take him to the mountain so I said well why dont' you take him today since he's staying home and you say he's feeling better? he said oh well I don't want to risk it, WHAT but he can risk him getting sick here with me and the kids??? I don't get some people I just needed to vent.
