    Does Anyone Post Their Rules?

I was just wondering if anyone posts their rules for childcare? Kinda like they do in the classroom? I think this weekend I'm going to buy something and posts them and then we can go over them during circletime.

This may help my little guy that is really struggling right now with different things.

    Here would be my list:

    No Hitting
    Indoor voices only
    No Taking Toys/Share Toys
    Help with Cleaning Up
Sitting on Floor only, No Laying Down

Can anyone think of different thinks? I definetly don't want the list more than about 5 things but someone else may have other ideas. Could change them monthly after they have worked on them for a whole month.
Each day is a fresh start
    Never look back on regrets
    Live life to the fullest
We only get one shot at this!!

I bought some at the dollar tree super cute that say
    follow directions
    clean up after yourself
    listen quietly to otheres
    say please and thankyou
    share with others
    take turns.

they are super cute. All of them for $1.00

I am thinking about posting rules up for the parents...
Drop off and pick up in a timely manner
    Control your childs behavior
    NO shoes on the carpet
OH I could go on and on

      great idea!

I have 7 rules posted in my playroom with pics next to them so they can associate it with something. I just made a poster and printed the pics from clip art and then laminated it. When someone breaks a rule we all discuss it as a group and i ask them which rule they broke and even the little ones learn which picture to point at. It super cute. We also all talk about what punishment is fair. (with me being the overall judge) Kids seem to respond better when their peers send them to time out or can't play with the blocks rather than if i did it.

I love this MrsB. Do you think 17 months old is too young to begin? I have no experience with this age group and I switch between expecting too much and not expecting enough. I've decided to err on the side of high expectations. ;-)

They really buy into it even more if they "help' make the rules. With a little guidance, of course, and depending on age. I noticed mine do better since they are up on the wall with matching pictures, as well!
