    Quiet Box ideas or blogs??

I'm collecting pictures/ideas for quiet boxes that I want to put together this weekend.

I did a regular search, title search and tag search and couldn't find too much.

I just want some little boxes with independent activities the kids could work on either when they wake up from nap, when I need to help the babies/cook or when they are just a bit too wild and need a quiet activity.

I know there are some great blogs and ideas out there so if you know of any or have any ideas that you use with your own dcks that would be great!

I'm thinking of maybe creating 10-12 boxes so I can rotate them out.

Folder games are great for quiet activities. They take some time to put together but are fairly cheap to make. You can even buy them already made on etsy and ebay.

Just type folder games in the search boxes.

Or felt boards are great too.

I LOVE these, and am too cheap to buy one, but want to make one, someday....... you know, in my spare time. ::

Create this book for those days when you are on the go. Pages measure 8 wide by 8 tall. Great for those days at the doctors office, at church, or in the car! This book contains 6 pages, and each page has an interactive activity. Pages include: Colors Numbers Shapes Zipper Lacing Tic Tac Toe This

Ohh that felt book is awesome! Crazy expensive though you're right. I'm definitely going to look into adding a few file folder games. Those look pretty simple to make.

On pinterest, there are a lot of things called 'busy bags' or toddler busy bags. That might give you some ideas.

Busy bags are great! I have a rubbermaid with a whack load of freezer bags full of little games, counting bears, stringing beads, matching pictures, sorting colors, felt dress up ppl, mr potato head ect.
Also, file folders are awesome! They do take some time to put together, cutting, coloring, gluing, laminating but are easy and cheap and hours of fun!
I actually bought a book from Chapters a long time ago filled with file folder games well worth it, but I am sure google will bring up a ton too.

I suggest add a bit of Velcro to matching pieces and laminate so they last
