Too much weird stuff in there... medicine, snacks, and sometimes they actually smell stinky! I had a mom bring one once that had a poop diaper in it!!!! UGH!

    I had a parent once that was so bad about replenishing the boy's diapers that I didn't have any at all for him by the end of this one day. So I put this teeny tiny 3 month size diaper on him to go home with (he was @ 15 months old). I told the mom and also let her know he hadn't pooped all day. The mom was upset and why is he wearing this? Because you won't bring diapers for your son! She never did it again. I hope he made a big poo on the way home. That diaper barely covered his big booty haha
    :::::::: thanks for the chuckle!

        Each kiddo has a cubbie here, and the parents put the diapers on the bottom and I refill a basket next to my changing table with all the kids diapers in it. They have a basket in the cubbie for extra clothes and I tell them daily if they need something for the next day. I have great parents. They all remember to bring what their child needs. In the event that I run out of diapers or clothes, they know I have extra odd stuff in pink and will use that if I have too. I mostly boys at this time. Diapers- I would borrow, plus I have some of my own.
        For wipes, I do a community thing here. I have four containers(one at the changing table, one in the play area, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom) for wipes that I keep filled and I ask full time parents to bring in one package per week, part timers one every other week and I also buy wipes and tell them that. I buy a big box at Target once a month. I explain to the parents. I use them for everything not just for diaper changes. I use them for hands and faces, clean ups. I don't ever worry about using a wipe in fear of not being able to have enough for diaper changes. It's my one luxury item so to speak- I also request they bring in quality wipes and not wipes my finger is going to poke through- gross. Creams, they bring in for their child, but I also pick these up and have them all together in my changing area.

        Understanding that we play, we get messy and we sometimes like to dump out our food so it goes under our bibs and everywhere is hard for the parents to understand. I send home dirty clothes in a bag and try to remember to ask for more. I care for these kids so I like sending them home clean and ready to go for parent time. I think the parents hit a low of ......agh more laundry!!! oh well.

          Update...she arrived this afternoonsta k o
          with both her check and a stack of diapers. I asked her to send supplies to keep here. I also told her I would not keep him anymore without payment and the right supplies for the day. Thanks for all the help!
