Fed Up Waking Up Early For No Reason

We "technically" open at 6:30am, but we only do that because ONE boy needs us to, and he only needs us to on M,W, and F. Well his dad got laid off a couple of weeks ago, so he doesn't NEED to be here that early. Well the past 4 times he's come around 7:30ish, an hour later than when he is supposed to be here. My other kids don't start coming until 7:30, so I'm up an hour early for no reason. I didn't sleep well with my daughter last night so I said screw it, I'm not getting up early for him if he's not going to be here on time. About 6:50 I think I heard a knock on the door, but I ignored it and waited to hear it again before I answered the door, but never did. I unlocked the door a little after 7:00 in case he came back, if that was even him. Well he showed up at 7:25 but his dad was on the phone, so I didn't get a chance to find out. I think I'll say something Monday if it happens again, but I hate confronting people so we'll see. I'm just SO glad it's Friday!

I would say to dad "Since you are not working and have been bringing dck at 7:30 I assumed you wanted to switch your time to regular daycare hours. *laugh* I was glasd because I was afraid I'd have to bring it up to you myself." I wouldn't let them bring him before opening since he's not working now. There's no possible reason for him to come so early anymore. Most places you need to make appointments to won't be open that early anyways right?
