    Playing The Waiting Game!

So I had a drop in come yesterday that seemed pretty sure they would want to do the pt spot and I sent mom home with pt contract for her and dad to look over, waiting to hear back from them yes or no if they even bother letting me know if they do decide not to...had another interview/visit set up for tonight by a parent who seemed like they were wanting to find something quickly and I have gotten everything ready, cooked dinner early and am now waiting on them. I am pretty sure I told her to call to confirm about an hour before and no call so not looking good and now about 15 min past scheduled time. I am wondering if I should call to check or just chuck it up to a probable no show.

I know things happen but I was really thinking this parent was going to follow through but have had enough no shows that this really isn't shocking. I just wish they would have let me know if they weren't coming especially when I said, "if something comes up and you can't make it let me know"...as I say this I see headlights so unless it's my neighbor they may have just shown up!

    I hope they showed up.

    No shows are so frustrating.

So I got tired of waiting and decided to call fully expecting no answer and she actually answered the phone, when I said who I was she was so surprised and of course was saying "I totally forgot" and was just getting off work. She did ask if she could call in the morning and reschedule but it had totally slipped her mind.

I am hesitant about setting up another meeting but also want to fill another spot so I told her she could call in the am to reschedule np, ugh..I hope something good comes from it and not another "I forgot" or just avoiding. I try to give people one chance at least because I know how forgetful I can be about things even when I have written them down and when I have remembered the day before and still forget the day of. I am glad that she is still interested and seemed very genuine and shocked that she spaced the visit.

I guess I will go eat dinner now and wait for tomorrow to see what comes, I do not want to schedule a visit on my fri night or my weekend bc Its bad enough when someone no shows on a workday/eve let alone on a weekend when I just want to be in my pj's and not worry about how my house looks necessarily if I don't have to be anywhere and people are horrible about no shows on weekends! Wish me luck as I am going to need it, ...hope all have a great Friday, almost to the weekend! happyface

That they are, I know you and I have been dealing with this and trying our best to fill spots...at least she answered her phone and wants to call to reschedule, she will get one more chance to do so and then I will be done.

I am hoping to try to get her to do it tomorrow during the day but she prolly has to work so will want to set it up for the evening or weekend which I hate doing on fri or weekends, ugh.
