There was a provider I knew in Madison that did a completely outdoor program, including nap. She had a screen-tent for napping.
I wouldn't in a million years give up my treasured nap time for a risk like that. It sounds so romantic, doesn't it, the children falling asleep, watching the clouds and squirrels and hearing birds chirping? ya right!
even here in the country: neighbors dogs (2 labs) run loose all over the neighborhood, 35 cars go by an hour, sirens, dump trucks, someone's lawn mower or chain saw....
nahhh...
Oh, and I couldn't even go in the house to use the bathroom!

Well, that last bit IS a problem......
But the rest - well, I live on 6 acres and plan on having a fenced area where the kids will be corralled. I am planning gardening activities all summer long for the older ones, and I have one toddler who sleeps 3 - 3 1/2 hours every day!!!! And.....he's the type you CANNOT wake up. When he sleeps, He SLEEPS!!
I know they get to bed at a decent hour and everything, have checked on all of that, he's just a really long napper.....
A screen tent, hadn't thought of that..... sounds interesting!
When the weather is nice, we are outside for the entire day. I have blankets outside, and some have curled up on them and taken a nap. As long as they are out of the sun, they are fine.
I should add, that not all mine take naps, and I'm OK with that too.
