One Spot Left - Should I Save It?

So fortunately I only have one spot open at the moment happyface but I'm not sure if I should fill it or save it for drop-ins?

I have a couple of families with older siblings not in dc who *might* use it now and then (one has actually done so twice now, but it's very unlikely it will be a regular thing with either of them). Still, I would feel badly if I couldn't accommodate the drop-in siblings if and when the need arises but now I want to remodel the garage and the extra $ would sure come in handy.

I do have an ad up for a toddler opening but I almost feel guilty about it.

    WWYD??

I seem to have someone sick every other day so they stay home, so I would probably fill the spot and figure, chances are, someone will be out sick when a drop in calls.

I fill all mine. I'm trying to pay my bills down so I fill as much as I can. I don't offer drop ins unless I have someone ill. I wont hold old definate income for a maybe kid.

          Financial Priorities:

          1. Full-Time
          2. Part-Time
          3. SA's
          4. Drop-Ins
          5. Unpaid Unborns.....

I wouldn't fill it with a full timer but maybe a drop in. I should have taken my own advice. I am completely full now. One mom just found out she is pregnant and I won't have room for the baby so I will probably lose them in August. 2 of my other parents just wanted to give me a heads up that they are "trying" and will want the new baby to come here when that happens. I am horrible when it comes to telling people no and I am going to cry like a baby when I lose my little guy because I don't have room a sibling. It will be devestating if lose the other 2 as well.

So if you can afford it use that spot for drop in's or something temp.

a lot can happen by the time August rolls around....you just may have the room by then. So hang in there.....

I fill every spot I have. Pregnant moms usually find alternate arrangements until I have the space. If they love you, they find a way.....

always fill. count up the money you will be losing by holding a spot for drop ins and that should change your mind

                  Thanks everyone.

I will keep my ad up and hopefully snag a toddler. Our program could use one more since the two girls I have now are like oil and water . ::
