My 17 year old daughter was born with a hole in her heart and has a deformed aeortic valve. It hasn't stopped her from singing her heart out or living her life to the fullest she can.
The poor girl has been poked and pulled and tested her entire life. We closed up the day care on Friday and headed off to the hospital for her annual "big overhaul" as she calls it.
After a whole afternoon of tests, she was thrilled to see the smile on the cardiologist's face and hear,
"Your heart is doing so well. No leaking, no problems, it's grown at the same rate as you have. I don't want to see you for THREE YEARS!!!!"
Much joy in our house!!!!!!!
