    This Is A Funny One

so yesterday I had a dcd ask me how do I cook hotdogs. Never been asked this before. So I tell him I boil water and throw them in a pot. Because apparently his ds will not eat them at home but loves them at my house??? So I said, well maybe because its the type of hotdog I use, which i use ball park franks, he says "no I don't think its that" so I asked him how does he cook them, he says "well I throw them in the microwave" there was a silence then, hmm ok.

One of my daughters friends loved when I made mac n cheese but wouldn't eat it for her mom!!!! Found out its because I would always throw extra cheese into it making it stringy and yummy!

I had a little guy once that would ask for my carrots to take home because they were the only one's he liked. He tried to hide them in his pockets once when his dad came at snacktime.

I hated having hot dogs done in the microwave as a kid!!! They'd always split right up the middle....ewwwww.

The smell of microwaved hot dogs grosses me out! Lol. I grill, or pan fry mine. (on the rare occasion we eat them, my dck's are too young for hot dogs).

Steamed or grilled hot dogs. They they get all fat and get a little color on them. I grew up on boiled.

I bring kosher hot dogs to a boil, drain the water off and fry them up to give them some color.

omg, yes, you have to have sour kraut with hotdogs and I love chopped onions on them too. Makes dh and the kids gag, but I love them.
so we make our own cabbage rolls, because I'm european I only know in my languange what sour cabbage is. Is there another word for it, its like pickled gabbage.

My DH would LOVE you!!! His favorite is kraut with keilbasa. I grew up on it and I don't mind it but DH just recently discovered it so we have it a lot....plus he does ALL the cooking so I do NO complaning!

ALL hot dogs gross me out. I don't care what kind or how they are cooked. The only way I will eat one is if it is the only thing besides me that survives a shipwreck on a deserted island and even then only if I couldn't find anything else suitable for consumption.
