Been gone for a bit. Life has been a whirlwind of stuff happening -

MIL passed away, FIL was in ICU for 2 weeks.

Working on my Master's Degree is VERY time consuming, but worth it happyface

3 student teachers are VERY time consuming (but I love em!)

Interning/coteaching a college class on Wednesdays , great class, Curriculum and Interactions with Young Children, I LOVE it

Planning and preparing to facilitate a weekend long conference is VERY time consuming, but I enjoy it

Started homeschooling my 9th grade son, also VERY time consuming, but liking it so far

Daughter at UCSC so been visiting Santa Cruz as much as possible

But, I'm around and I miss you guys, so I'll pop in now and then to say hi.

Wowzers. First, I am VERY sorry for your loss! I hope your FIL is doing alright. Secondly, how many hours are in YOUR day?! LOL! You sound BUSY!

I am busy, but I'm pretty good with time management and (usually) don't procrastinate. Also, making lists and crossing stuff off as I go is a HUGE help ::

Wow Crystal, you and I are leading pretty similar lives ..although my son is at the early college hs and I am having to focus a lot of time on keeping him keeping up with his college work and making sure he doesnt get behind and not pass...

My ex fil passed away a couple weeks ago so was dealing w all that bc the whole family for the most part is still part of my fsmily and my son was very close to his grandfather. I am also working on my Masters degree and this semester working on my action research project and having to do 8 hours a week interning at the college a couple nights a week. The classes they have two nights arent enough to fill the hours so I am having to find things to work on outside of those nights to fill my time out.

I will probably be doing some presentations in the different classes and sharing about various topics as they arrise, whatever they need help with as well as working on a few specific projects for my leadership class too.

I work on my stuff in the evenings (some nights i am so tired its is really hard to do when i just want to go to bed early) and res time when the children let me if things last longer than 30 min if we have different kids here it messes up our routine.

Its alot and idk how I am going to make it all work this semster but I am focusing on a day and week at a time..

We've had some "interesting" conversations in the past and I am a cranky old broad at times!!!! But I have missed you and your wisdom! Sorry to hear about you family loss...but congrats on all the other stuff you are accomplishing!
