    Leapfrog

I love leapfrog toys! My son liked them when he was young (he is now 15 going on 21 ) I bought my daughters (age 2) and daycare friends ages 2, 3, 4 & 5 the Leap Frog Scrible and Write and the Leapfrog Little Touch Leap pad so far and they LOVE them. Does anyone else have any Leapfrog suggestions for my age range?

**The scrible and write helped my daughter learn to recognize all of her capital letters, I am so proud of her. She is even trying to write them on her own! happyface

Sorry for the smartypants remark.... I thought you meant the playground type game. (I am slow sometimes)

I have no advice about the electronic Leapfrog as I am a NO batteries, No TV, NO electronics daycare.

LOL... I am a NO TV daycare and a no TV Mom except the occasional Movie in our home theater. I do like the battery toys, they are educational and entertaining to the kids.

I hear ya though. No electronics here either. All my kiddos sit in front of the TV/computer/Ipad at home...so they get enough of that there....

And yes..I have a 4 year old who has his own Ipad. But thats another thread.

My 3 year old loved the LeapFrog Explorer. She plays "Mr Pencil Saves Doodleberg" all the time. The other day she drew a bunch of shapes, and when I asked her who taught her how to draw those she said, "Mr. Pencil."

I have an abundance of LeapFrog and LeapFrog products. Like you, I am sold on them!

My gs is very "techie" even at the age of five. The 8yo I have at daycare commented at how good he is at his electronic games for his age.

I have to say that the electronic games are strictly limited. Not so with the LeapPads, as they don't seem to do them for more than a reasonable amount of time. They are so very educational, that I just don't find much wrong with them!

I have My First LeapPad and LeapPad with Writing, regular LeapPads and the microphone as well. I have the addition twist and shout, which is absolutely wonderful for practicing the tables. I plan on picking up the rest as I find them.

I bought all of the products used on eBay, garage sales and thrift shops.

One other product I've found that my gs loves, but is a little over his head yet is the intelliglobe. It's great for introducing the continent, oceans, etc, but will be awhile before he can use it appropriately. But I picked it up at Goodwill for $30 and I don't think it had ever been used! If you ever see one, you may want to snarf it!

I'm a big fan of LeapFrog's Letter Factory DVD. My 2 year old granddaughter loves it and now can recognize every letter of the alphabet and knows which sound each of them makes. I'm impressed!
