    Question About License

I was wondering if you could start your daycare without a license and then when you get up in numbers to where a license is required apply for one? Pa allows for you to care for up to 3 children before a license is required. Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I'm in MN and I'm allowed one unrelated family when I'm unlicensed. So I took on one family that I knew could sustain me financially while I went through the license process. You are allowed to do this. Then when you are getting close and have a better time frame as to when you'll be licensed, you could always start advertising and tell people that you are getting your license soon and can start taking kids once your licensor tells you.

But I do recommend that you don't take on any more than you're allowed until the licensor says you are licensed. Good luck!
