Not A Good Way To Start The Week

Out of 10 kids who should have been here, 4 showed up. Everyone else is sick. The four who came, should not have been here. Two out of the four "suddenly" spiked fevers at around 11 AM. Huh. Funny. The other two were being needy and coughing and runny noses. I called the parents and sent them all home. I laid down the law and said I will NO LONGER care for sick kids. Sorry. NOT my job! On Friday, we had 12 kids here, and 10 out of the 12 were sick! Here, coughing, crying, runny nose. Miserable. No wonder I don't like my job at the present time.

UGH! So tired of lying parents! I was told that one of the babies that were gone has a cold. But the doc put them on antibiotics. Want to know why? For fluid on the lungs. Fluid on the lungs? That is NOT a cold! That would either be RSV, pneumonia, or POSSIBLY bronchitis! And this is the same mom who lied to me about her older child having RSV last year. Just had a conversation that will not leave her wondering where i stand on this whole deal. Ugh. I just want honest people. And well children.

Not a good way to start the week.

Both my little boys started the morning sneezing major amounts of yuck, but thankfully it stopped right a way.

You know.. I used to be one of those parents that would say "Ugh Daycare - they always get sick there." Now that I work in one I realize it's not the Daycare, it's the Parents that send their children in sick.

        Thanks for sharing!

Its frustrating when parents lie and i can tell they are lying to me about their kids not being sick.. I am always Sick! i think this school year i have been out sick or to the hospital at least 12 times because parents don't take care of their sick children they expect us to take care of them no matter what. i don't know how much i can take of it!
