I just got a call from a mom who needs care for her son who attends half day K. Our district has a backwards plan for K so to avoid a long story he was previously in all day K but has been moved to half day K and needs care.
He needs two half days from noon on- actually a little later than close, then three days both before and after school but leaving before I close these days. Should I charge more because its later than my close hours? More because its a school ager and typically more work to entertain? Or do I meet somewhere in the middle because its two half days?
I was otherwise not going to fill this spot as I don't like to be full to the max. I have plenty of open slots with or without this kid. And I wasn't advertising, neighbor daycare called b/c she is too full. Basically, I dont NEED the income but would put it to good use if he signed, so how do I entice them without giving it away?
