Mine too. I have a vacation starting Thursday! Not really going to be a vacation but I have a lot of things going on this week. My daughter has her physical on Thursday (which means shots!) and then she gets registered for school, my hubby has an MRI on Friday, Saturday I have a photo shoot (so i'll be working on saturday) and Sunday at least is family day (family BBQ) and I have to get my labs done for the pregnancy and a sonogram next week. I have a three day work week this week and a two day work week next week, yay for me (eccept that I have a bunch of things to do!!) Hope everyone has a great week!!

Well..my monday started with the dck's bursting (yes not knocking, BURSTING) in at 6:20am this morning while I was trying to finish getting my girls ready for the bus (which comes at 6:30am). 10 min after mom and dad leave, the oldest boy, 8yo, says: My tummy feels dizzy, and he instantly looked pale. I had him lay down. He rushed to the bathroom about 10 min later and puked on the floor. I called mom, and told her I wasn't sending him on the bus today because he threw up. She says OK and hangs up. BIG mistake. I realized she expected me to keep him and the other 2 children today. Boy threw up again, this time on my entryway floor. I cleaned it up, called mom and said: You have to pick up the kids, your son just threw up again on my floor. She says OK, maybe I take him to doctor. I said NO, he doesn't need a doctor, he needs bedrest and liquids. 30 min later the father shows up, and I had the CDC website pulled up for him in spanish explaining how to treat the stomach flu. He understood and took all 3 home. I just have a "feeling" that they will return tomorrow and the baby or 5yo will be sick and I'll have to do this all over. I HATE cleaning up puke. It makes me gag (even if its my own children). I washed the surfaces he puked on, first with Lysol, then with a bleachwater solution after they left....I hope I don't get sick!!!

I love it when parent's do this don't you??:: I don't like picking up after my own kids' vomit, the less I pick up after other kids' the better.

Wow, that doesn't sound like a vacation at all but at least you get a "break", if you want to call it that. :-) I just get off 5 hours early on Wednesday!

Happy Monday to everyone! I got two phone calls last night 2 of the 4 kids I had scheduled for today canceled. One is my 345am child, the other is only after school for a couple of hours. I did get notice today that I will have my two youngest kids (6 mo and 18 mo) here the whole week. They are usually part time. The 6mo is usually M,T & Sat afternoons, he'll be here all week. The 18mo old is usually 1 day a week, and he'll be here through Sat. This will be a busy week doubled with kindergarten round-up for my son Friday morning.

I empathize!! My 2(?) week "vacation" (leave) doesn't start until my last pickup Saturday night, and it too isn't really a vacation. Next week we're hoping for carpet installation in our three bedrooms and the hallway. Once the carpet is in and the furniture moved back in, I'll be getting baby's space ready. The following week we've got our inducement scheduled for Monday, and of course the rest of that week will be recovery. All goes well, I'll reopen the day after Mother's Day. I did just notice that I'll get "provider appreciation day" off.
Give a little love to a child, and you get a great deal back.

And I empathize with you!!! I think my "vacation" is going to be less work than yours!! Congrats by the way. How exciting!! I still have a long time to go (due in November/December) but I hope everything goes well!!!
