    Vent: Overnight Diapers

Parents: There is NO reason why, if you get your child up, fed, and dressed in the morning before drop off, why you can't change that child's diaper!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the sixth or seventh time in two weeks that this infant has arrived in a soaking, yellow, overnight diaper, and the second time that I've had to change their clothes immediately upon arrival due to the diaper soaking through the back of everything during the trip here.

The parents are wonderful otherwise. It's always got to be something, though, doesn't it.

I would have diaper, wipes, and changing pad in my hand and hand it to parent
I would say, " hey the last few mornings he soaked through his overnight diaper and clothes on the ride here. Can you be sure to change him just before walking out your door so my day doesn't start with a mess? "

My dcb is changed every morning before he comes. I swear he saves ALL his overnight pee for me. He arrives at 7am, I check to make sure it's dry. I check again at 8am and it's soaked, yellow, and (I swear to gosh) 10lbs. His parents say it's always very wet when they change him before coming over. How much is he drinking at night thru am if he has 2 VERY wet diapers in the morning!?!?!?

I feel for you! I have a parent that does this a lot!!! I started putting notices in my newsletter reminding parents that the children are to arrive at daycare CLEAN and in a FRESH diaper! It doesnt work so next month I am making that sentence with a font of 40 and the 1st line.

If you find a resolution please share it with me.

I had one who arrived Every morning in a poop out the back, up the carseat, all over. Dad would act so surprised. After about 2 weeks of her pooping on the "way here". ( i began to notice it was dry at the edges) i had another child changing when he came in one day so I said. Let me finish this and you can get her out while I wash my hands. I finished the diaper, wiped everything down, and went to wash. When I came out I found him doing the dangle hold, she was icky. Lol I got out the pad, wipes, diaper, and got two bags out. I said, " Ewwwww, ok you can put her clothes in this one, and all the wipes and diaper in this so I can take it right to the outside bucket. Took him 3 diapers, and a box of wipes!!!!
Oh and about 20 min. Lol. But oddly enough,,,,.....-------- she hasn't arrived poopy since.
