        For the record, it is beautiful, but quite small for a "log home". I'd say 1800 sq ft finished. It's also not fun that we will be re-staining it this spring after 5 years.

        On the other hand, when we are gone for a few days, and come home, our house certainly "rises up to greet us" as Oprah likes to say, especially if I clean before we go. The smell of pine alone is enough to say "welcome home". Too bad it usually smells like dirty diapers in here!::
