    Kids Find The Worst Things!

So one of my lil dcb meets his mom at the door yesterday as i went to answer it, and as soon as she walks in he spits out a small round magnet that i have no clue where he got it or that he even had it! I was right there with him while he was playing in the daycare rm and never saw it, not only tht..i dont have any like the one he spit out. The only thing i could figure out was that it may have been in a container of mrbpotato head parts i got from a teacher friend who quit and she gave me some of her stuff...that was the only new stuff in the room yesterday and i sure didnt see it when i dumped out the potTo head parts but idk where else he could have gotten it..lovely way to end a day at pickup, ugh.

I am VERY strict about what kids bring from home. I have a no toys from home policy, but I also CONSTANTLY remind parents that they cannot allow their kids to put teeny tiny things in their pockets!

I have had kids come to daycare with pennies, paperclips, barettes, small size lego etc. in their pockets.

It never ceases to amaze me that the parents keep their own kids alive....

If I do find something small in a child's pocket , I am VERY stern with the parents.
