    Yeah for you! happyface

Interviews: Play kids music softly in the background, make fresh cookies & coffee just before they come (and offer them some while you talk), and make sure everything is clean and safe...

Licenser: same thing, only they aren't allowed to take food or drink from you , so forget the cookies, unless you WANT to make them sad...

I've been licensed for 16 years and each time I'm up for a re-licensing inspection, I pull a copy of my state's child care regulations. As I read through all of the regs, I think of my own day care set up and create a check list of all the things I might need to double check. (Required signage, water and refrigeration temperatures, things that need to be in my first aid kit, required paperwork for each of my kids, etc.) The check list helps me to focus on the things I want to double check and possibly correct before my licensor comes out to visit.

Good luck with your visit. I hope all goes well.

My state has a pdf checklist available online, it makes it pretty simple to self check.

Funny thing, though, recently those checklists are how we find out about MANY of the new changes. If I wanted until pretty close to an inspection I'd be blindsided again.

I'd recommend checking it MANY times a year for updates if you have one....it can't hurt.
