    Most Chaotic Time of Day?

Mine definitely has to be the 30-45 minutes before lunch. I definitely need to come up with something to keep them busy during that time. They have access to the playroom and I also put on Seasame Street for about 15 minutes while I'm getting everything finished but the kids are still CRAZY somedays during that time.

Needless to say today was one of those days and nap definitely came a little early....

What's your craziest time of day with the daycare??

Mine used to be before lunch too. I took away their play time at that time because of the noise and rowdiness. Now they look at books quietly while I change the babies' diapers and do potty breaks, then we wash our hands and go to the kitchen, and they sit at the table while I'm making lunch.

The most chaotic time of day for me is washing up for meals/snacks. My dd especially drives me batty during this time - if she's not constantly coming into the bathroom to check things out, she's climbing up on the activity tables or other furniture, or running around or generally being a pain .

I also have them sit quietly, read books, or watch a movie that I put in. This is great!! After snacktime in the afternoon, I have an activity at the table til parents arrive, this goes smoothly til one acts up while being picked up, then they all come away from the table, and all act that way. I have trained and repeated myself numerous times, what do we do when parents come- "stay at the table unless it is our parents" it does work most of the time!!

Afternoon when the school kids come...since that's when I have the most kids...I only have 2 daycare toddlers during the day and my own preschooler that attends preschool 1/2 day and gets on the bus at 12:30.. so my day goes pretty smooth until they all come home from school...I have my 4 girls and 2 daycare girls (plus my 2 toddler daycare boys).

School breaks are crazy because they all have such different interests. Last summer I ran full and I vowed not to do that again this summer..that is why I am not taking in any more at the moment..I have had a few people ask and turned down! Just a few months ago I wasn't getting any calls and then all of a sudden it poured!

Right before lunch gets to be crazy at times, but when DS gets home from school, it's like all craziness breaks loose I swear he saves up all of his energy for when he gets home.

All heck breaks loose about 45 minutes before lunch here too! I have nap scheduled for 12, but more days than none we usually go 15 minutes early....if I didn't get to make the rules regarding nap time I think I would go crazy!

I don't have the issues before lunch. My craziest time of day is when the first parents arrives! It seems like I have somewhat control all day up until that point. I swear the parents believe I'm so disorganized but they all act like they are loons!

Yes, another crazy time here, is when school kids return, sometimes it's just my own daughter. Then another when parents start arriving, everyone wants to go away from their activity that they are working on, and run all over the place, and act badly.

Mine use to be right after lunch the 40 min before nap, but now it's right after afternoon snack until pick up time. It drives me crazy, most of them end up having to read books or do a puzzle or color, but something at the table.
