    Aw how awful!

My mom is a caretaker for an apt complex in MN and she was on duty one morning and couldn't leave the property and my little sister was on her way to school and hit a patch of ice and flipped her car. My mom called me bawling because she had to send my dad from work to go to her and neither of them were answering their phones and how she hated she couldn't go. She was ok- but it just ****s so bad when you feel so helpless!

I have felt the same way a few times--like today when I can't go with my mom to say goodbue to her/our cats. It does ****.

i am so sorry to hear this... I hate it too.

My oldest who is 15 got knocked out at football practice and hit his head really bad on his way down. This was over the summer. The coach called me to inform me that they had called an ambulance and he was being taken to the nearest hospital.....Of course I was freaking out and could not leave the house. Lucky for me, my husband was home and he was able to go. I did call all of the parents to come get their kids and I went to the hospital later. I was very happy that all of the DCP were fine with it. One even went to another DCK house because the mom is a doctor and was in surgery at the time and could not leave work....

That part about daycare does ****.....

          I feel for you (((hugs))).

I've been through this 3 times with my own dd - don't ask - and the worst was when she called me sobbing and said "Mom I need you, but couldn't get out the rest for several minutes. She'd been in an accident and was scared to death. Thank goodness my dh and ds were able to get there quickly, but it's an awful feeling, nonetheless.

Update, she drives a 4door grand prix. She was stopped at a light, lady in a early 80's full size blazer. With plow attachment. Brakes failed completely and rear ended her. Lady has insurance. Fully admitted to police her brakes failed and she hit her full force. Daughter is sore but ok. Car is,......replaceable.
