Just yesterday (even though no DCK's were here) I yelled, "Hey, hey, hey! Put those elephants away in there!" to the loud banging noises coming from the playroom. DH pokes his head around the corner and says, "Soooo, you don't want me to finish putting these shelves together?" with a very saucy grin on his face. ::

I've actually copied and pasted the info about positional asfixia and sent them to all the new mom and dads I know.
Some appreciated it and some didn't.
Oh, well at least they have the info.

I also look at friends pics on FB and notice little safety issues in their nurseries... I know I'm bad! I sorta private comment my concerns in a very loving way.

I just wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened.
But when I was a new mom... I hated people like this! (me) ::::

When I go to someones house that is wiped out with clutter or smelly I keep my mouth shut but I just think in my head how licensing officials would have a cow if they went in there.
Medal blinds with cords hanging down are my biggest pet peeve and I virtually cut the cords off in my mind and if they are very close friends I do give advice.

LOL...my boyfriend was over this weekend, and I was making breakfast and started cutting up his waffle and oranges in really small chunks. He snatched the plate from me

A few years ago, I was visiting a friend in his cabin/condo. The VERY first thing I noticed when I walked in, was the fire extinguisher was LITERALLY sitting under the stove, clipped to the wall, UNDER the stove. Personally, I think that's common sense, and most idiots should know that the most likely place in the kitchen to need a fire extinguisher is the stove....so, who would put the extinguisher under it...right? But, he swears it's just the daycare provider in me who would think like that.

So... apparently, people in other lines of work are idiots, and only WE have common sense.

My Ex Brother in Law is a firefighter....and he can't stand to see objects in cars that don't need to be in there, especially those little "Baby on Board" signs. He sees things like that, points and says "PROJECTILE!"

I think it happens when I go out and see kids misbehaving. I always tell dh that their behavior would never happen in my house. I'm a bit mean but I see so many kids ruling thier parents that its crazy.

I'm a freak about cleaning and stuff laying out. but on another hand my own children should know that they can't be slobs (messy house messy life)

always on the kids about leaving their stuff in the living room/ Dc area

I am always narking at everyone to close the shower door and put the soaps up out of reach. Along with get the tooth paste out of the bathroom. We don't have a locking medicine cabinet. We have 3 bathrooms and MY kids always want to use the DC bathroom??????

no dirty dishes in the sink. Wash them and put them away

Where are my outlet covers....keep those things on

Dont touch m,y desk, computer, office PERIOD....they used to be able to use it before I started daycare in this home.

THE KNIVES..... how many times do I gotta tell yall that the knives have to be locked in the cabinet out of the kids reach, NOT in the kitchen drawer.

Oh and when I go to other people's home I always tend to take note of the hazards they have out that are dangerous to kids. Mostly the ones that have kids.

I know I could go on and on....I think I have mild OCD....

One thing that I always get that I hate, is that because I work with kids, everyone thinks that I can go to their house and cure the problems that they are having with their own kids...it happens all of the time.

That's me all the way. I get crazy on Sundays after DH has been home all weekend. I hate being such a nag, but he should know by now that our house is also a business and a penny on the floor is a choking hazard.

I stress out every time my kids (6 and 4) want to play Hungry Hungry Hippos or something else with small pieces in case they lose one and a baby later finds it. Oh man. Makes me cringe just thinking about it!

I don't think I'd be this bad if I didn't run a daycare, but I've always been a little OCD in my cleaning. Maybe I'd be less stressed though!
