Worried About A Daycare Kid

She is 1. She is TINY. I mean tiny. She doesn't eat, only will drink a few ounces of milk in a bottle a day. Here is the issue, she poops CONSTANTLY. Like I change at LEAST 4 poop diapers a day from her. At least. And with each poop, she breaks out into open sores like you are pouring acid on her. She has prescription cream for her bum, but it only helps until the next poop. Well, as if that wasn't bad enough, today she had this HUGE poop that stunk like nothing I have EVER smelled and was off white. She had a cream colored shirt on today and it was the same color as her shirt! AND, it didn't hurt her skin! So I am alarmed by the color, and I start googling stuff and find this link from Mayo clinic: http://http://www.mayoclinic.com/hea...-stool/AN01724 Ok, so wouldn't it make sense that it is white because there is no bile, that before when it was burning her it is because it was mostly bile (since it wasn't matching up at all to how much she was consuming)? So now it isn't burning because of there not being any bile in it, which is a sign of liver dysfuntion. Ok, so we sent her home with mom, told her how very very concerned we were and printed out the article for her. She says she is going to take her home and "watch her". And then take her to her family doc in the morning. Do you think that is enough?! I would have immediately taken my child to the ER. Am I over reacting? And when she comes back after the appt with a new prescription for another butt paste, do I take her back? I feel like she is a total liability. I don't want anything happening to her while she is with me. Thoughts?

Document all you discussions with mom, on how concerned you are about the child's health.

Hopefully the mother will take the child to the doctor in the morning. As you've mentioned, Chalky white could indicate that there is no bile from the liver to digest food.

I have a child here that is allergic to soy and lactose and if he ingests any of those he has white poop. The child could have an allergic reaction to what she is eating and its hurting her tummy and makes her want to not eat or something of that nature. I would definetely suggest a gastro specialist appointment.

Not over reacting at all!! First thing that comes to mind is an allergic reaction. Second a problem with the liver. She needs a doctor ASAP. Up date us please as soon as you find out what is going on.
