This year I did get something pretty unique, a gift certificate for my nail salon enclosed in the nicest termination letter I've ever read! ::

It wasn't unexpected, I knew that the possibility existed that dad could get transferred...they were hoping to stay in one place for awhile. It started out being a 'Thanks for everything, we love you!' letter and ended with 'We will miss when we leave in two months'

It made me smile and cry at the same time!

Awww, that's sweet. At least you know you are appreciated, and even though they are leaving, they loved the job you did! WTG!

Oh, so sorry you are losing what sounds like a really nice/great family! On the bright side two month's notice should be plenty of time to fill the opening space.
