I totally understand your plight. Parents can't afford to pay high rates yet they want top quality care and that is very unrealistic. I understand it is large chunk of change to pay for quality care but is the money more important than the care for your children. I wish parents would understand that quality child care is a sacrifice you have when you have children just like sacrificing your personal needs, finances, time and so forth. It just goes with the territory of being a parent. So you have a choice.
On the other hand providers need to get serious about what they do. All you do is complain, complain, and complain. But no one ever takes action. You....We need to unionize, collaborate, and take a stand for ourselves. STOP FIGHTING, LOW Balling, and COMPLAINING. We all need to work together. Don't take parents who have burned other nannies and daycare providers until they make due. There is so much we can. I know a lot of wonderful nannies and providers who are very educated, hard working women. We can do this.
Whatever parents and child care givers decide to do, just stop complaining about it. Do something. Parents and Providers need to Go to a daycare meeting, unionize, collaborate something is better than nothing. This is the only way we will ever change this industry.
