Tricycles and Helmets?

just curious what everyone else does...do you make kids where helmets when riding tricycles?

My own child on her bike I do, other than that no. I just have daycare children ride sm. scooters, or small trikes.

No, they fall down more often just running around.

No I don't do it for trikes or scooters. We don't have regular trikes or scooters though we have those sturdy ones with the thick wheels that you get from lakeshore and even out scooters have three wheels so theres less of a chance theyll fall.

How do you like the Lakeshore trikes? Do they hold up well? I was either considering getting Lakeshore or Angeles.

I have 2 of the Angelus trikes and they just sit there while the kids are off riding the other/garage sale ones. The all time favorite is big wheels and for the youngest set the no pedal ride on vehicles.

Do you let your OWN kids ride their bikes during daycare?? I am not sure what to do with summer comming up, but I don't want a whole bunch of kids on bikes! I have alot of little 3 wheelers and trikes and things like that for ALL the kids, but never fails I always have the school agers that want to bring their bikes!! I don't like this at all and I feel like it is so unsafe because there is SO many kids running everywhere! How does everyone else go about this, when the older kids are to big for the little trikes, what do they do and do you let your OWN kids still ride THEIR bikes?

If they kids had to wear helmets to ride trikes in the driveway I'd spend our whole outdoor time putting on and taking off helmets because they usually ride for 5 minutes, play something else, ride again...::

Mine usually play on the trikes or skooters for a couple of min. then to something else as well. You would get nothing done but off and on...no way!!
